. . .So I cannot post images. I am sure there is a way to host them on another site but I would rather paint than figure it out. I guess I will just have to fork out the money for a good webpage.
I can however mention that I will be having a show at 19Ten this upcoming month and the reception will be on Saturday April 3 at 6pm.

I will be showing some of my work at the Tribute Gallery from today until November 18. The gallery will be open tonight from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Saturdays 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Why I Do What I Do

I paint because I have to. I paint because there is something in my head that I think would look interesting outside of my head and that people may enjoy it. I paint because it is the only thing I know how to do somewhat well. I paint with gouache because it is fast. I paint on paper because it is cheap. I am not interested in making any “statement” with my work and there is no intended meaning to anything I do. I paint because I have to.

I am not interested in adhering to any stereotypes applied to artists. I would rather read comics than poetry and I would rather watch football than attend gallery openings. I love Star Wars more than an average person and blog about craft beer. I am 50lbs overweight, wear jeans and t-shirts and eat fried foods that maintain my impressive girth. If you believe this makes my work any less valuable please feel free not to talk to me. I have no time for you.

If you are an artist, that is great. Let’s talk. However, if you are just going to ramble off some mouth bile about your eternal search for enlightenment through the drawing of circles, save it. I would rather be pushed down the stairs by my mother as she tells me I am adopted and she never loved me. At least my stair death would be swift. Granted, some of your long-winded nonsense leads to impressive paintings, but lets not ruin those impressive paintings with words.

Despite all of this above content, I am a fairly jolly person. It comes with the weight I think. Sadly, I am also spiteful and bitter. This probably makes me fairly average.
